Explanation:
The Office of Human Resources requires an agreement to provide Third-Party Administrative (“TPA”) services for Workers’ Compensation, General and Auto Liability Claims. These services were competitively bid by the City of Lakeland, Florida through RPF No. 7080A on March 21, 2017, and awarded to CorVel Enterprise Comp, Inc. The current term of the CorVel agreement, Amendment #4, is from July 1, 2022, through July 30, 2027, with an option to renew the contract for one additional year. The City of Lakeland allowed the City of Hollywood to piggyback their agreement and CorVel has agreed to extend to the City the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the City of Lakeland agreement. The period of performance during which the desired services will be acquired from June 29, 2024, to July 30, 2027.
Commission approval is requested to execute an agreement with CorVel Enterprise Comp, Inc. to provide TPA services for an initial three-year term.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2024 Operating Budget in account numbers 558.112006.51900.591930.000000.000.000 and 558.112006.51900.591910.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission. Total cost over three years is estimated to be approximately $576,801.00.
