Explanation:
There is a need to replace the existing roof on the Water Treatment Plant High Service Building, repair existing roof on the Chemical Feed Building, and repair the existing roof on the Control Room/Administration Building, and install a new roof on the Aeration Building in order to prevent additional leaks and damage to the facility, its occupants and equipment.
Department of Public Utilities staff prepared the project scope, specifications and construction documents.
On October 2, 2015, the Department of Public Utilities staff advertised the project soliciting qualified construction services, on October 14, 2015, a pre-bid meeting was held, attended by seven (7) roofing contractors, and on November 4, 2015, two (2) bid proposals were received at the Office of the City Clerk and were publicly opened at the City of Hollywood Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant with the following results:

After thoroughly evaluating the bid proposals for compliance with the contract documents, Department of Public Utilities staff determined that Infinity Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. is the lowest responsible and responsive bidder.
A Notice of Intent to Award related to the project was posted on the City of Hollywood web site, BidSync and DemandStar, and was sent via email on November 6, 2015 to all the bidders that resulted in no apparent bid protesters.
The Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City Officials to execute the attached contract between Infinity Roofing and Sheet Metal, Inc. and the City of Hollywood for construction services related to the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) High Service Building Roof Replacement, for a total amount, with alternates 1 and 2, of $93,586.00.
It is necessary to amend the approved FY 2016 Capital Improvement Program and allocate funding for the contract amount of $93,586.00, and for program management services, permits and testing of $24,000.00 for the aggregate total amount of $117,586.00 set forth in Exhibit A.
The estimated construction time for this project is sixty (60) calendar days from the Notice to Proceed.
