Explanation:
The Department of Public Works desires to issue the second renewal of two two-year renewals to the Blanket Purchase Agreement with A Perfect Edge, Inc. for comprehensive landscape maintenance services.
On September 21, 2022, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2022-280 approving a Blanket Purchase Agreement with A Perfect Edge, Inc. for comprehensive landscape maintenance services for an initial one-year term in an amount up to $436,738.00 for the period beginning October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023, with two additional two-year optional renewal periods.
On November 1, 2023, the City Commission passed and adopted Resolution No. R-2023-343, approving a Blanket Purchase Agreement in the annual amount up to $436,738.00 with A Perfect Edge, the first of two two-year renewals for the period from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2025.
The landscape maintenance services for the State Road 7 (US 441) corridor include bi-weekly lawn maintenance service (turf mowing, edging and weed eating), litter removal three days per week, monthly irrigation maintenance service, fertilization three times per year, pressure cleaning of curbs, gutters, medians and sidewalks twice per year, and palm tree trimming twice per year.
The Department of Public Works would like to execute the second of two two-year renewals in which the annual cost will be $436,738.00, beginning October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2027.
The Director of the Department of Public Works recommends that the City Commission approve and authorize the second two-year renewal of the Blanket Purchase Agreement with A Perfect Edge, Inc. in an annual amount up to $436,738.00 over the two-year renewal period.
Fiscal Impact:
A portion of the funding for the renewal of the Blanket Purchase Agreement will be available in the FY 2026 Operating Budget in account number 001.500202.54100.531170.000000.000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
