Explanation:

The Information Technology Department and various other City departments/offices require hardware, software, and maintenance services from Granicus, Inc. After a period of purchases and consolidation, Granicus currently provides software and hardware systems for City use, including Legistar, Rock Solid, GovQA and Host Compliance (Vacation Rental Compliance Monitoring System). Some of these, in the past, were separate entities and companies, now centralized under the Granicus name.

Legistar is used to automate the City’s meeting agenda approval and publishing process. Various City business meetings, including City Commission meetings, use the Legistar system. Legistar is also used to stream City business meetings live and archived from the City’s website.

Rock Solid, also known as Hollywood Connect, and Granicus Oneview offers two-way communication with citizens, including the ability to report issues or concerns to City staff. The system creates a work order ticket which can be tracked by the citizen through the staff review and correction process.

GovQA allows for the processing and tracking of any public records requests.

Host Compliance (Vacation Rental Compliance Monitoring System) monitors information regarding any vacation or short-term rentals in the City to ensure they are properly registered. The system also provides for a phone hotline for citizens to report possible concerns and violations.

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for the agreement is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget in account number 557.130101.51900.531170.000000.000.000 and 001.220101.53900.531170.000000.000.000 and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
