Explanation:
Due to scheduling difficulties, various Commission meetings will be changed to allow greater flexibility to the Commission, staff and residents.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, March 18, 2026, meeting will be changed to Wednesday, March 25, 2026, due to the Broward County Public Schools Spring Break holiday.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, April 1, 2026, meeting will be changed to Monday, April 6, 2026, due to Passover.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, July 1, 2026, meeting will be changed to Tuesday, July 7, 2026, in order to allow more time to receive the July Taxable Value Report for purposes of setting the maximum millage and the Fourth of July holiday.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, July 15, 2026, meeting will be changed to Wednesday, August 26, 2026, in order to allow more time for the next fiscal year’s budget preparation.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, November 4, 2026, meeting will be changed to Thursday, November 5, 2026, due to the Election Day on Tuesday, November 3, 2026.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, November 18, 2026, meeting will be changed to Monday, November 30, 2026, starting at 11:00 A.M. due to the Swearing-In Ceremony.
The regularly scheduled Wednesday, December 2, 2026, meeting will be changed to Wednesday, December 9, 2026, due to the proximity to the Thanksgiving holiday.
By canceling the December and January meetings it will allow the Commission, staff and residents more flexibility in preparing items during the holiday season.
Thereafter, regular meetings of the City Commission shall, unless otherwise provided by Resolution, be held on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City.
