Explanation:

The Department of Public Utilities (“Department”) needs preventative maintenance and emergency repair services for the Southern Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant chlorine facility.  The chlorine treatment process is a critical regulatory requirement for the disinfection of treated wastewater before discharge.  The chlorine delivery system uses parts and equipment manufactured by Wallace and Tiernan.  Water Treatment & Controls is the exclusive sole source authorized representative for Wallace and Tiernan parts, equipment, and service as documented by the sole source authorization letter executed by Evoqua Water Technologies on October 18, 2024.

The Notice to Sole Source Number NTSS-248-25 was posted electronically on OpenGov from October 30, 2024, to November 7, 2024, and received no responsive inquiries.

The performance period for these services will be from January 15, 2025, through September 30, 2025, in an annual amount of up to $286,500.00.
