Explanation:
The Department of Public Works is responsible for certain unforeseen emergencies throughout the year. It is their responsibility to repair, service and replace any damage done in emergency situations such as unexpected weather, storms, and other unforeseen emergencies.
On February 25, 2019 the desired equipment and tool rentals were competitively bid by the State of Florida pursuant to RFP#518-410-19-ACS, and were awarded to Herc Rentals Inc. The term of the contract was from April 1, 2019 through November 1, 2023 with an option to renew for an additional two-year agreement, expiring October 31, 2025.
The Director of Public Works and the Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission authorize the appropriate City officials to issue a Blanket Purchase Agreement to Herc Rentals Inc., for the rental of industrial equipment and tools from April 1, 2025 through October 31, 2025 subject to vendor acceptance, satisfactory performance and the determination that renewal will be in the best interest of the City, for an annual amount up to $100,000.00.

Funding for this Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in the FY 2025 Operating Budget account numbers 001.500302.54100.552240.000000.000.000, 001.500301.51900.546350.000000.000.000 and 001.500303.51900.546350.000000.000.000.
