Staff Recommends: Approval of the attached Resolution.
Explanation:
This Resolution approves and authorizes the City of Hollywood to execute an agreement with American Ramp Company, in an amount not to exceed $138,692.27, for the demolition, site preparation, and installation of new skate park equipment at the Boulevard Heights Community Center.
The project followed a formal competitive solicitation process, where American Ramp Company was the only responsive proposer and received the highest ranking by the Selection Committee. The total cost includes the base bid and all add alternates, and funding has been appropriated in the City’s budget.
As part of the RFP, staff requested supplemental pricing for 2 additional items, including the removal and disposal of existing equipment and the cleaning, caulking and patching of the existing concrete pad. Parks staff determined the cost to be reasonable and also that the project aligned with American Ramp's expertise.
The Selection Committee recommends that the City Commission authorize the negotiation and execution of an agreement with the highest ranked firm, American Ramp Company, to provide demolition, site preparation and installation of skate park equipment to include the Base Bid Price ($94,072.27) plus all Add Alternates ($44,620.00) as outlined in the Proposal for a total of $138,692.27.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this project was included in the amended FY 2026 Capital Improvement Plan and is available in account numbers 334.309901.57200.564531.001358.000.000 and 333.309901.57200.563010.001211.000.000.
