Explanation:
The Pete Brewer Scholarship Program which is administered by the HCCA was established to recognize the decades of Pete Brewer's civic involvement. Funding was accomplished by the "Be Mine" Annual Dog Shows. After a two-year COVID hiatus, applications were sent to the principals and counselors of Hollywood area high schools to nominate students who have been involved in the community for participation.
