Explanation:
The City of Hollywood, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts Advisory Board (“Board”) was established by the City Commission to promote parks, recreation, cultural arts, special events and golf operations within the City.
Resolution R-2022-158 was amended to increase the Youth membership from two to three on the Board.
The Board now consists of nine adult members and three youth members whose interests and focus are on the recreational, athletic or cultural arts aspects of the Department.

Kathleen DiBona, Alex Hochberger and Sharon Nitzberg currently serve as Adult Members and their terms expire on June 30, 2024.
Due to the resignation of Diane Sanchez, who served as an Adult member, there is now a vacancy that must be filled for the remainder of her term that expires on June 30, 2025
Due to the resignation of Lauren Azoulai, who served as an Adult member, there is now a vacancy that must be filled for the remainder of her term that expires on June 30, 2026.
Due to the removal of Vincent Newman, who served as an Adult Member, there is now a vacancy which must be filled for the remainder of his term that expires on June 30, 2026.
Fiscal Impact:
Approval of this Resolution will not fiscally impact the City as this is a proposal to appoint nine new board members.
