Staff Recommends:  Approval of the attached Resolution.

 

 

Explanation:

The Department of Public Utilities Wastewater Division needs professional services for management, supervision, operation, and maintenance of our Wastewater Treatment Plant.

 

The desired professional services were competitively bid by Florida Governmental Utility Authority (“FGUA”) through a Request for Proposals Utility Operations, Maintenance and Customer Service on September 7, 2018, and awarded to U.S. Water Services Corporation under CONTRACT FGUA South Region Compensation Agreement dated October 1, 2019.

 

The current term of CONTRACT FGUA South Region Compensation Agreement is from October 1, 2019, through September 30, 2024, with an option to renew the contract one additional five-year period.

 

The period of performance during which the needed professional services will be acquired is for an amount not to exceed $350,000.00.

 

The Director of the Department of Public Utilities and Chief Procurement Officer recommend that the City Commission approve and authorize the execution of the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement to U.S. Water Services Corporation in an amount not to exceed $350,000.00.

 

 

Fiscal Impact:

A portion of the funding for the attached Blanket Purchase Agreement is available in the FY 2023 Operating Budget in account number 442.400601.53600.531170.000000.000.000, and will be budgeted in subsequent fiscal years’ operating budgets subject to approval and adoption by the City Commission.
