Explanation:
The Department of Human Resources requires an agreement with a qualified vendor to provide health screening services including a comprehensive medical physical/examination for eligible Fire, Police, General, Professional, Supervisory and Non-Represented personnel to provide the City’s contractually negotiated annual medical examination benefit paid for by the City.
The City’s most recent incumbent for health screening services is Life Extension Clinics, Inc. D/B/A Life Scan Wellness Centers, but the contract expired October 16, 2023.
The desired screening physicals for City employees were competitively bid by the City of Clearwater and awarded to Life Scan Wellness under the contract between the City of Clearwater and Life Extension Clinics for a one-year period with option to renew for three additional one-year periods under the same terms and conditions. Life Extensions Clinic has agreed to extend to the City of Hollywood the same pricing under the terms and conditions set forth in the Clearwater Contract.
The physicals for City employees will be acquired within the period of May 1, 2024 thru December 31, 2024.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this agreement is available in the FY 2024 Operating Budget in account number 558.112006.51900.591990.000000.000.000.
